Theme Information

Aviation & Space Days

Come one, come all aviation hobbyist as we will have an out of this world experience as they make their very own clay planet bracelet and moon phase chart, build and decorate your very own balsa wood glider, experiment with our interactive wind tunnels, and participate in other space/aviation related activities.

Firefighting Days

Aspiring firefighters are welcome to come out and experience a day in the life of these first responders. Learn about the importance of fire safety, the day-to-day life of a firefighter, and test your physical abilities with a themed obstacle course.

Farming Days

Children of all ages are invited to join us for a fun filled day of planting, cultivation, and crafting! Participants will be able to plant native seeds, feed some very hungry animals at our sensory feeding bin station and get in touch with your creative side.

Caboose Train Days

Aspiring railroaders will explore the caboose, once home to the flagman, brakeman, and the conductor on freight trains. The caboose served as the conductor’s office while rolling down the tracks. Climb aboard to see it up close, experience the role of a conductor, and enjoy caboose-related activities such as sensory-friendly caboose lacing, tangrams, build a train with magnetic tiles, and design your own caboose! Caboose Train rides are available for an additional fee at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1 p.m. See what it was like to ride these favorite cars, which are rarely used on trains today.

Note: Cabooses are not ADA accessible due to the vintage nature of their construction, however an ADA car is available on the train ride, with wheelchair spaces and companion seating.

Ice Cream Days

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! All are invited to join us for a sweet journey through the history of ice cream. Participants will get crafty in our arts area, take part in ice cream-related activities, create their own sample of ice cream, and enjoy a scoop of Hershey’s ice cream with their favorite toppings.  Dairy free options are available.  Train rides can be added for an additional fee. Train ride times are at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., & 1 p.m.
