St. Patrick’s Day Train Ride

March 15 & 16, 2025

Save the date! Climb aboard our St. Patrick’s Train on the evenings of March 15 & 16 and enjoy an Irish-inspired meal while riding the rails at the N.C. Transportation Museum. Wear your green and bring your Irish cheer! This dinner train will offer guests a happy (half) hour of appetizers, wine, and beer before boarding the train. Dinner will be served as you roll down the tracks, enjoying a full Irish-inspired meal while listening to live music! Guests will also take home a souvenir beer glass!

Ticket details:

Passengers select their individual seats at their table when purchasing tickets. Both 2-top and 4-top tables are available. When parties do not occupy all of the seats at a table, members of other parties may select the remaining seats. Bring additional friends to fill a table or meet new friends as you share the experience in classic railroad dining car style. Tables cannot be moved and seats cannot be added to a table, so parties larger than the allowed number of seated passengers will need to purchase seats at other tables.

Advance ticket purchase is strongly recommended. For members of the museum, it is strongly encouraged to reserve tickets in advance using your membership number.

Each individual passenger will receive two drink tickets to be redeemed from our selection of wine and beer in either the cocktail area or on the train. Additional drinks can also be purchased for an additional cost.

This event is for ages 21 and up only. There is no admittance for anyone under age 21. Valid ID must be shown.

ADA accessibility:  Rail cars in use for this event are not wheelchair accessible due to the use of historic and antiquated rail passenger equipment, which is exempt from ADA regulations under US Code:  Title 42:  Section 12184.
