Casting Call

THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride is a 70-minute live theatrical production that happens several times per night on a moving train at the N.C. Transportation Museum. In addition to acting talent, we are looking for crew members who are team players, who enjoy working with families, and who will embrace the interaction between themselves and passengers. All team members help create a fun, entertaining, and heartwarming experience. Theatre experience is helpful but not required.

Cast Amenities:

These are all paid positions. Cast and crew members receive 4 Standard Coach tickets to friends and family night on November 6, 2026.

Interviews/Auditions:

Interviews/auditions will be held at the NC Transportation Museum Back Shop, 1 Samuel Spencer Dr. Spencer, NC 28159. Auditions/interviews will be on the following dates:

Wednesday – Friday, August 19-21, 2026 (5:30-7:00 p.m.)
Saturday, August 22, 2026 (10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.)
Tuesday – Thursday, September 1-3, 2026 (5:30-7:00 p.m.)

Rehearsal Schedule:

Sunday, November 1 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. and Tuesday-Thursday November 2-5, 2026, at the N.C. Transportation Museum (Approximately from 6-9 p.m. each evening).

Performance Schedule:

November 6-8, November 13-15, November 20-22, November 27-29, December 4-6, December 10-23 (afternoon/evening performances)

November 23 & December 7 (morning/afternoon performances)

Call time is 1 hour before the first show time each day. See the schedule for show times. For school group performances, November 23 and December 7, call time will be 9:00 a.m. and fewer cast members will be required.
