Casting Call
THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride is a 70-minute live theatrical production that happens several times per night on a moving train at the N.C. Transportation Museum. In addition to acting talent, we are looking for crew members who are team players, who enjoy working with families, and who will embrace the interaction between themselves and passengers. All team members help create a fun, entertaining, and heartwarming experience. Theater experience is helpful but not required.

- FACILITIES HELP (This position is a non-theatrical position assisting with supplies loading/unloading, stocking, and other event support needs. Must be at least 16 years old to apply.)
Cast Amenities:
These are all paid positions. Cast and crew members receive 4 Standard Coach tickets to preview night on November 8, 2024.
Interviews/Auditions:
Interviews/auditions will be held at the NC Transportation Museum office building, 420 S. Salisbury Ave. Spencer, NC 28159. This is the former bank building across from the museum. Auditions/interviews will be on the following dates:
Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 3:00PM until 6:00PM
Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 3:00PM until 6:00PM
Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 3:00PM until 6:00PM

Rehearsal Schedule:
Friday, November 1 and Monday – Thursday, November 4-7, 2024, at the N.C. Transportation Museum (Approximately 6-9 PM each evening)
Performance Schedule:
November 8-10, 15-17, 22-24, November 29 – December 1, December 6-8, 12-23 (afternoon/evening performances)
School Group Performances: November 25 & December 9 (morning/afternoon performances)
Depending on the night, the call time is either 3:00 PM or 3:45 PM, one hour before show time.
On four afternoons, call time will be at 1:30pm: Friday, November 29, Sunday December 1, Sunday, December 8 and Sunday December 15.
For school group performances, November 25 and December 9, call time will be 9:00 a.m. and fewer cast members will be required.
