Wine & Dine on the Rails

February 14, 15, and 16, 2025

Join us for an evening of elegance and romance at the N.C. Transportation Museum on February 14-16.

This special event features a cocktail hour before boarding for a leisurely train ride around our 60-acre historic site, and a three-course meal served aboard the train.

Ticket details:

Passengers select their individual seats at their table when purchasing tickets.  Both 2-top and 4-top tables are available.  When parties do not occupy all of the seats at a table, members of other parties may select the remaining seats.  Bring additional friends to fill a table or meet new friends as you share the experience in classic railroad dining car style.  Tables cannot be moved and seats cannot be added to a table, so parties larger than the allowed number of seated passengers will need to purchase seats at other tables.

Each individual passenger will receive three drink tickets to be redeemed from our selection of wine and beer in either the cocktail area or on the train.  Additional drinks can also be purchased for an additional cost.

Upon arrival, please exchange your printed or mobile tickets in the museum’s Gift Station for  boarding passes.  This event is for ages 21 and up only. There is no admittance for anyone under age 21. Valid photo ID must be shown before you will be given a boarding pass.

ADA accessibility:  Rail cars in use for this event are not wheelchair accessible due to the use of historic and antiquated rail passenger equipment, which is exempt from ADA regulations under US Code:  Title 42:  Section 12184.

Please note: Although it is not required, we request a “nice dress” attire. Smoking is not allowed in any building or on the train.

Prepaid reservations are required. The event takes place rain or shine. Seating is limited. There are no refunds or exchanges.
