Traveling Tour | SOLD OUT

Salisbury to Raleigh by Rail
April 19, 2023

Join us Wednesday, April 19, 2023 as we travel by Amtrak train to North Carolina’s capital for tours of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Science, North Carolina Museum of History, and the State Capitol.

Tour participants will meet at the Salisbury Amtrak Station (215 Depot Street, Salisbury, NC) at 6:45 a.m. for check-in. We will depart aboard  Amtrak #80 (Carolinian) at 7:28 a.m., arriving in Downtown Raleigh at Union Station at 10:05 a.m.

The first stop on the tour will be the North Carolina Museum of Natural Science to visit the special exhibition, “James Cameron – Challenging the Deep.” The exhibition traces explorer and filmmaker James Cameron’s passion for deep ocean science, technology and exploration, including his record breaking dive to the bottom of the ocean in DEEPSEA CHALLENGER – the submersible he co-designed and co-engineered. The admission cost for this special exhibition is included in your ticket price. Following lunch (on your own), you may visit the North Carolina Museum of History or State Capitol.

Note: Tours are walking intensive and take place rain or shine. No refunds or exchanges. We cannot be responsible for delays.
